How much does the service cost?
There is no charge to our candidates whatsoever. We hope that if we provide a high level of service you will then recommend us to your friends and colleagues.
What benefits are there in registering with Bromak?
Bromak are a sector and regional specialist. We understand the construction market in the North West and our clients are all focussed on projects in this region. We don't guarantee that we can help you find a job but we sincerely hope that you feel that we've tried our best in doing so.
What happens when I send you my CV?
When you register on www.bromak.com or send us your CV, we will review your experience and ensure that the most relevant consultant contacts you. You should receive notification of receipt immediately and a call or email within 48 hours. When we call we will invite you in for a face-to-face interview, if this is not possible then we will set a time to carry out a thorough telephone interview. We guarantee that no clients will be forwarded your CV until we have spoken with you first.
Can I register with other recruitment agencies?
It would be naïve of us to expect all of our candidates to register only with Bromak, we would however ask you to allow us at least a week of exclusivity. We try to focus on being thorough and professional in our approach rather than just getting results as quickly as possible.
In the event that you do register with other agencies we would suggest that you register with no more than two agencies, as you are likely to be inundated with calls increase the risk of being sent to unsuitable positions and have your CV sent by different agencies to the same client.
How long will it take you to find me a job?
We cannot guarantee that we will find you a job. We place a high percentage of the people that register with us but unfortunately we are not able to place all of them. If you have applied for a specific job advertisement and you are suitable, we may find you a position within days of registering. If you require us to carry out a confidential career search, it might take us a few weeks. You may register with us when we have nothing suitable for you, in that case you will be added to our database and contacted when something suitable does arise.
What happens if I'm looking for a job outside of the North West?
We work with regional contractors as well as regional offices of some of the countries leading national contractors. If you are looking for a position outside of the North West we will attempt to leverage off our contacts within some of the national contractors and will also advise you of some of our sister companies in other parts of the country that might be able to help.
How do I know if I'm being paid enough?
We do offer free salary advice and salary surveys for clients. We are happy to advise you on the current market rates.
Will my current employer find out that I am looking?
Our service is totally confidential. We will not divulge any personal information unless you authorise us to do so. We will also do all we can to make the job seeking process as simple and convenient for you as possible so as not to attract suspicion.
How will I find time to attend interviews?
Most of our clients understand that it is difficult to get away early to attend interviews sometimes. We work with our clients on finding mutually suitable times and venues for interviews; we will even make our own offices available if required.
How can I make my CV more attractive to potential employers?
We are happy to work with you on your CV. We can provide advice on how to structure it or even re-write it completely if required.
How often will you contact me?
We will contact you as soon as we can after your registration on www.bromak.com. We will keep in touch with you throughout the recruitment process if you are applying to a specific vacancy, even if there is no news. Unfortunately if we have nothing immediately for you, we cannot contact every candidate on our database if we have no news for him or her. We would recommend that you keep in touch with your consultant on a weekly or fortnightly basis to keep up to date on any new opportunities that exist.
