Job Description:
Our client, based from their Peterborough regional office, require an experienced freelance Site Manager from a strong Social Housing background to work on Decent Homes refurbishment contracts in and around this area. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all site activity on tenanted properties and for eventual property handover after extensive refurbishment. You must have a full appreciation and understanding of Social Housing refurbishment procedures and expectations and be of strong leadership and management standard.
The role has particular emphasis on working with the external insulation (board and render) aspects of the social housing so experience of this aspect of the works would be advantageous.
You will ideally be from a trade, or indeed academic, background but experience in Social Housing with a reputable contractor is essential for the role. This position will begin on a freelance basis but the position is likely to move towards a temp-to-perm arrangement in order for both the candidate and employer to test suitability. You must be located within easy reach of Peterborough and have a full UK driving license and your own transport.
