Job Description:
Quantity Surveyor - New Build
My client are an award-winning leader in the delivery of community regeneration, providing thousands of new and improved homes across Yorkshire and East of England. They specialise in improving social housing, building 21st century new homes and pioneering eco-friendly and Extra Care residential developments.
Owing to the award of new contracts they are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor's in Northampton and Leicester.
Reporting to the Senior QS you will be responsible for providing all full Quantity Surveying function on all contracts maximising contribution and cash flow. Duties and responsibilities will include:
" Undertaking all pre and post contract quantity surveying duties including the pricing of variations
" Prepare and agree profit forecasts
" Prepare final accounts and manage cash flow reporting
" Place subcontract orders, managing sub-contractor payments and agree final accounts
" Ensure compliance with contract conditions
" Produce and prepare and price valuations
" Reconcile cost value reports
" Prepare subcontractor liability statements
" Providing cost effective solutions and advising on the commercial aspects of the job when talking through designs and build ability

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing projects from pre commencement through to final accounts. You will ideally have previous experience working on new build social housing/sheltered accommodation and extra care housing projects.
