Job Description:
Quantity Surveyor - 6 Month Contract - Manchester
My client seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their busy Construction team. The successful Quantity Surveyor will initially start on a 9 month contract and this will continue on a rolling basis for the right candidate.
They are a medium sized developer who deal with commercial projects around the North West of England. They have developed a strong reputation in the area and the majority of their turnover is gleaned from repeat business.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have worked on a variety of projects, both residential and commercial, and will have had documented success over a period of more than 18 months.
Duties
" Material purchase; take offs; schedules; analysis of pricing
" New site appraisals and estimates, land feasibilities and purchase
" Subcontractor procurement; analysis of tenders; enquiries;
" Processing subcontract payments, valuations and variations
Arranging site services
" Liaising with consultants/engineers regarding drawing design and planning monthly updates for final account forecasts
In return for you skills and experience we can offer an excellent hourly rate of £29.50.
