Job Description:
Permanent Planner
One of the leading design and build construction companies with a variety of contracts upcoming and ongoing are expecting a very busy 2010/2011 with close to a full order book are looking to recruit a Planner.
As a group they are worth over £450Million in value and have a solid reputation for completing projects on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality. Due to their continued expansion an opportunity exists for a Planner to Join their North West division.
The Role of the Planner
Ideally you will have at least three years experience working with the latest versions of Primavera on pre-contract and project planning for mid-size process, industrial and manufacturing projects. This is a complex role and it requires a talented individual who has an in depth knowledge, you will be expected to provide timely and solid information to managers for `live` issues along with forecasting project requirements in the short and medium term. You must demonstrate an in depth understanding of building technology and construction techniques complemented by logical programming skills.
Other duties will include:
" Pre-tender interviews
" Pre-tender negotiations
" Project preparation and short term planning
" Progress monitoring and reporting
