Job Description:
Estimator - New Build and Refurbishment Social Housing Contracts
My client are a market leading contractor specialising in the refurbishment and construction of social housing, education and public buildings. The company is on a massive and exciting growth path, expanding all its operating regions, leading to new positions and a wealth of career development opportunities for employees.
Owing to recent expansion they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their offices based in South Yorkshire. You will be reporting directly to the Estimating Manager and will be assisting with the estimating and tendering of new build and refurbishment contracts in the Yorkshire area.
Key accountabilities:
To monitor potential enquiries and provide feedback to Estimating team To apply for enquiries To maintain up to date market knowledge of labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors To process advertising / sponsorship information To check tender information To prepare and send out sub contract and material enquiries using conquest enquiry system Price bills and schedules and produce quote comparisons using appropriate software Complete tender pricing for adjudication by the tender committee, including reporting on any risks or onerous conditions and providing winning edge Prepare tender letter and contract sum analysis On secured projects to prepare information for handover to the contract team including arranging and taking the meeting
To qualify for this position you MUST have experience pricing refurbishment and social housing schemes through frameworks agreements and partnering schemes along with experience pricing up new build housing schemes, education projects, extra care facilities/sheltered accommodation/care homes and public buildings.
