Job Description:
The Company / Role - Contracts Manager
An exciting new opportunity for a dynamic Contracts Manager to join a leading building contractor in the North West to run up to four contacts within social housing refurbishment and new build. The company turnover circa £60m per annum across 40 frameworks with an impressive forward order book. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the management of up to four contracts from £3m to £10m. This will be a mix of refurbishment schemes of local authority housing to "Decent Homes" standard and new build social housing. On the new build side, houses will be constructed to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes so experience and understanding of this will be preferred.
You will be responsible for the following:
" Programme delivery and planning
" Regular liaison with the client and contract reporting
" Building internal and external relationships with client partners, providing regular progress updates and resolving any issues as and when they arise
" Overall staff responsibility and man management of a team of Site Managers, Foreman and Tenant Liaison Officers
" Health and Safety
" Ensuring key performance indicators and framework service level agreements are met.
" Meeting strict programme targets including weekly handover of properties on refurbishment schemes and completions targets on new build housing
Experience/ Benefits - Contracts Manager
You must have a proven track record in social housing and the Contracts Management of local authority housing stock to Decent Homes Standard and/or new build social housing. Ideally you will come from a trade background or posses a relevant building qualification and be able to demonstrate clear progression throughout your CV. This requires a focused and resilient Contracts Manager who is organised, methodical and computer literate. The ability to make decisions quickly and "think on your feet" are essential along with the ability to work under pressure.
In return, you will benefit from a basic salary of between £45,000 - £48,000, the option of a fully expensed company car and fuel card or a car allowance plus mileage, a bonus scheme, contributory pension scheme, private healthcare, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
