The Role - Contracts Manager - SocialHousingBuilding Maintenance

As a result of growth, this leading building contractor that specialise in the refurbishment and maintenance of social housing seek to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee between four to five contracts in the South West area with a total value of £9 million.

You will be reporting directly to the Area Manager and be responsible for overseeing a team of Project Managers, Sites Manager, Surveyors and a number of direct and subcontract labour. Responsible from the pre construction stages to operational delivery on site through a dedicated and focused site team. You will have regular liaison with the clients including Housing Associations, Registered Social Landlords and Local Authorities. You will plan and program works to ensure KPI’s and programme dates are met in line with contractual obligations.

Their portfolio of work encompasses a wide range of refurbishment schemes from Decent Homes Programmes to the external and internal refurbishment of low and high rise properties. This includes kitchen and bathroom replacement schemes, central heating upgrades, re- roofing contracts, footpath and landscaping contracts, DDA Aids and Adaptation works amongst others. Working from their regional office with a annual turnover of £18m you will work across the South West area. They have an established brand name and are part of a leading construction group with a turnover in excess of £1bn with an impressive portfolio of repeat clients.


The person - Contracts Manager - SocialHousingBuilding Maintenance

The successful candidate MUST have a proven track record in the Contracts Management of social housing maintenance and refurbishment contracts. You will have excellent planning and communication skills and be able to motivate and coordinate multiple sites teams. Ideally you will be working for a buiding contractor on similar types of project and have worked with Local Authorites and Housing Associations. Ideally you will have a solid trade background or may have come up the academic route with a HNC or Construction Management Degree. You must have relevant industry qualification and demonstrate stable career progression.

In return, you will benefit from a competitive package which includes a basic Salary of between £45,000 to £55,000 dependent on experience, the option of a Company Car or a Car Allowance £7,000, contributory pension scheme, healthcare, life assurance, a generous bonus scheme and 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
