Chief Estimator/Pre Construction Manager - Affordable/Social Housing
We are currently working in alongside one of the leading social housing contractors in the UK, and due to their expansion plans, they are seeking an experienced commercial candidate for the position of Chief Estimator/Pre Construction Manager, to be based in their Birmingham office.
Required experience of the Chief Estimator/Pre Construction Manager
A proven track record over a number of years in a Senior/Chief Estimator role within the social/affordable housing sector is a definite advantage, although candidates who have dealt with projects at this level in the residential and commercial sectors will also be considered. Formal qualifications such as a degree or HNC/HND in a related discipline are also preferable, but not essential, as we believe there is no substitute for experience.
The successful Chief Estimator/Pre Construction Manager will be able to utilise computerized estimating systems and will have experience working as part of a team, with the ability to act on their own initiative. Supervisory experience in some form is essential for this role, as you will be overseeing 2 Pre Construction Surveyors and, eventually, a Senior Estimator.
