Job Description:
CDM Co-ordinator/ Design Manager Required - Social Housing - Permanent
If you are from a Design Management or Planning background and looking for a slight change in direction then this may be an ideal position for you.
My Client
Leading contractor predominately dealing with regeneration and new homes for sale, throughout the North West including Manchester, Liverpool, Blackburn and Middleton.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work within a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental department team to be based in Manchester.
Requirements of the CDM Co-ordinator
Essential
o CITB Construction Skills Certification Scheme o CDM & Health and Safety at Work training o AutoCAD
Desirable
o Aware of the standards expected within the 2007 CDM Regulations o Experienced in Construction Design Management, with either a design, planning or health & safety background o Full member of Nebosh Construction Certificate o Member of CIOB o Member of the Association for Project Safety o A minimum of 3yrs experience or equivalent within a similar role o Educated to HND/HNC level in construction (desirable) o Social housing experience would be advantageous although not essential
Your current duties may include:
o All planning and technical matters o Constant liason with Local Authority before and during planning submission o Building Regulation / NHBC standards o Liason with external consultants and site operatives with regards to structural, architectural and landscaping issues
Duties of CDM Co-ordinator (not limited to)
The CDM Co-ordinator will provide support on both CDM Regulation and H&S compliance. You will play an integral part of the team and be required to visit various offices and sites on in the North West area.
Daily duties will include:
o Meeting project needs, including compilation of Pre Tender H&S information o HSE Project notifications o Recording of decisions and initiatives as part of the CDM audit trail. o Risk assessment
