Senior Estimator
My client are a well established Social Housing specialising in regeneration and affordable housing in the West Midlands area. The company is on a massive and exciting growth path, expanding all its operating regions, leading to new positions and a wealth of career development opportunities for employees.
As a result of their growth they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Estimating department to provide a key estimating role. You will be responsible for ensuring that an accurate and robust estimate is prepared for both new build and refurbishment projects along with monitoring & reporting progress and compliance with estimating procedures to the Estimating Manager.
1. Responsible for the submission of consistently high quality tender submissions
2. Tender Risk Appraisal
3. Tender Analysis
4. Tender Strategy
5. Analytical estimating of net cost.
6. Site appraisals and reports.
7. Land value appraisals - under guidance.
8. Subcontract and Materials Enquiries liaising with the Procurement Manager and his team.
9. Interaction with Planning, Commercial and Production Teams
10. Detailed analytical comparisons
11. Achieving Prime Cost and Best value
12. High quality presentation for adjudication
13. Achieving Deadlines for Tender Submissions
14. Commercial Handover documents to Commercial and Production Teams
15. Contributing to meetings at receipt of tender and adjudication
The successful must have experience pricing refurbishment and social housing schemes through frameworks agreements and partnering schemes along with experience pricing up new build housing schemes, extra care facilities/sheltered accommodation/care homes.
